Struggling Revolution bars put up for sale


The company behind Revolution Bars has put itself on the market as sales tumble.

The Revel Collective, which runs the Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba and Peach Pubs brands, blamed cost of living pressures on younger customers and a warm summer keeping clientele outdoors. 

Bosses said recent budget changes had ‘thwarted’ its efforts to recover after shutting 15 bars last year.

Advisers have been hired to explore funding options, including a formal sale.

Revenues slumped 7.4 per cent to £26.3m, while last quarter debts rose to £25.3m.
